Who Am I?

I am a passionate designer and artists born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. Art and design has always played an integral role in my life as I have always sought out creative outlets from a young age. I remember making wallets and money with my sisters when we were kids, spending so much time perfecting the design of my wallet and creating our own currency to play store with. We would customize them to fit our personalities and make wallet after wallet as we worked out how to make pockets for our coins, sections for our credit cards and space for our bills. This was my first taste of the design world and believe these experiences directed me towards a life of passion towards art and design.

I’ve just graduated from Emily Carr University after working towards getting my Bachelors of Design, specializing in Industrial Design. This experience has expanded my practice and generally me as a person extensively, and I am forever grateful for attending the program. I have been teaching children in different areas of art and design for the past 3 years, but have always loved working alongside children. Their creativity and unique ideas spark a warmth from within, and I find a lot of joy from working with them and teaching them in early aspects of design.

My practice is really an accumulation of my experiences and those closest to me, grounded in aspects of connectivity and exploration. I’m fuelled by nature and the beauty that can be found from the outdoors, and thrive in spaces of like minded people working towards creative goals. Nature and the environment has played a big role in my practice from the time I was a kid, as I always felt calmed and grounded by connecting outdoors, and looking closer into the intricate and infinite details that exist.
